grief pull

2025, felt kapok fiber, 47”x17”x9”

grief pull is a soft relic of becoming—vertebrae rendered in felt, stacked with care, fragile and resolute. From their base, root-like tendrils extend downward, not as limbs but as anchors, growing slowly into unseen soil. These forms do not seek movement but memory, clinging to absence with vegetal determination. The sculpture is both mourning and regeneration—grief that pulls not down, but inward.
